Colombia Risaralda Milan Nitro Washed
My standard recipe, a little bit downsized:
Colombia Risaralda Milan Nitro Washed
I had 52g frozen from last month. Opened it up for my birthday. Decided to do 4 brews at 13g each to make it last longer.
MOGRA
15g coffee, Comandante 23 clicks; 250g water at 92 degrees 50g bloom, then 50g pours (total 5 pours including bloom). Waiting for bed to mostly dry out before next pour Total time: ~3:20
MOGRA
Standard hybrid recipe:
MOGRA
First brew of a new batch (roasted 16th April).
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
Last brew from this coffee lot.
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
Tried something different
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
My standard Switch recipe, but a bit coarser.
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
Immersion brew today.
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
Today, did a hybrid brew that still stalled a bit.
Ethiopia Gesha Village Lot 35
I just decided to open up the Substance Geisha Village Lot 35. Took it out of the freezer yesterday night and unpacked it today morning, and tried a brew.
Vibrant Edition 2
Second brew, last tasting note. TL;DR: average coffee, I am not really excited to take detailed notes for the rest of the bag.
Vibrant Edition 2
First brew with the coffee.

The Yellow Lot
Tried immersion. It's fine, but not really worth paying much attention too. I'm going to finish off this lot (if I can continue to stand it) and skip adding more tasting notes.
The Yellow Lot
Tried to brew this coarser and at a lower temp:
The Yellow Lot
First brew of this coffee:

The beans are tiny. I guess this is a characteristic of the coffee variant?
Colombia Risaralda Milan Nitro Washed
I used a little higher temperature than the previous brew (94 degrees vs 91 degrees). I think this has reduced the aroma a bit, more offgassing during bloom phase maybe.
Colombia Risaralda Milan Nitro Washed
I can see why the tasting notes mention melon. Now that I was primed to detect it, I can see what I called 'bubblegum + jackfruit' can also seem like 'melon'.
Colombia Risaralda Milan Nitro Washed
Dry aroma: really sweet and fruity. Mix of bubblegum and jackfruit! I really loved the dry aroma.
Panama Boquete Don Pachi Estate
I used a hybrid method: immersion followed by a pour.
Panama Boquete Don Pachi Estate
The aroma is really interesting. Great taste -- acidic but not too acidic. Feels juicy. I think I slightly over-extracted it: 13 grams coffee to 210 grams water, 3 minutes.
Amaltas Blend
Not great at all. I don't think I'll ever order it again. Smells like a really average coffee, and the taste is basically non-existent.

Riverdale Estate "White Rose"
Good -- but not excellent. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Blue Tokai's producer series is usually worth grabbing where possible.
MOGRA
Really enjoyed this. It's a great cup of coffee, and the Jasmine notes are really spot on. It literally smelled like Jasmine flowers. Would love to order it again โ it was sold out soon after.
Raxidi Lobo Estate
Average, wouldn't re-order.
November 2025
Vibrant Edition 1 (Salawara Estate)
Was ok.
Finca El Diviso Ajรญ Bourbon
Terrible! This looked like it was the same coffee as the Glitch Aji which I adored. If it was the same beans: they committed murder. The beans were basically over-roasted to the point they were charcoal. I threw away the entire lot after 1โฆ
Riverdale Estate Aroma
Riverdale is usually really good, but I don't think the best lots are available to most Indian roasters. This one was good, but not Riverdale's best.

Colombia Risaralda Milan "NG"
Honduras Santa Barbara El Mango "2024 COE No.2"
Colombia Huila El Diviso "Ombligon"
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Gargari Gutity Opal
Colombia Huila El Diviso "Ajรญ"
Panama Boquete Lerida Geisha
China Dehong Yuan Yi Yuan
This seemed to have tea notes, and it's the first time I've seen high quality coffee come from China. Worth a buy to try it!
Colombia Huila El Diviso "Ajรญ"
This was highly recommended and it smelled awesome. I should have bought two bags. If I head to Glitch again, will definitely get it.
Colombia Quindio El Placer
This was interesting. Natural and funky.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Gersay
The barista was trying to warn me away from this, but it seemed very nice and I wanted something cheaper to buy in bulk so I could share with others. Let's see!

Musumba
Ok, but not outstanding. Roast felt a bit dark for me โ not fruit/aroma/acidity forward like I usually like.
La Estrella del Ostro
Ok, but not outstanding. Roast felt a bit dark for me โ not fruit/aroma/acidity forward like I usually like.
