Glitch Coffee & Roasters

Background

Founded in 2015 by Kiyokazu Suzuki in Jimbocho, Tokyo. Suzuki spent ten years under the tutelage of world barista champion Paul Bassett, then became the 2014 Japan AeroPress Champion and earned a Q-grader certification from the SCAA.

Glitch sells exclusively single-origin, light-roast coffees. The philosophy is to "maximize and bring out the individuality of the farms" โ€” overturning the stereotype that Japanese coffee is always bitter. The lineup is deliberately narrow and particular. Has since expanded to multiple locations in Tokyo and Nagoya.
