Raxidi Estate

Background

Family estate in Sakleshpur, Hassan District, since the early 1950s โ€” now in its third generation under father-daughter duo Richard and Rachel Lobo. ~165 acres on the Western Ghats. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and processed using natural spring water from the property.

Processing includes washed, natural, and anaerobic natural (P1 strain yeast and bacteria, 18-hour fermentation, dried on raised beds for ~21 days). The estate also grows cardamom and spices, and runs visitor experiences including estate tours and brew sessions. Actively supports local schools, education, and youth sports programs in the Sakleshpur region.
