El Placer Farms
Background
Fourth-generation coffee farm in Calarcá, Quindío, run by Sebastián Ramírez. The El Placer Farms project has expanded beyond the family farm to include partner farms from small producers across Quindío and Huila. Processing is done at the Hacienda Córcega Beneficio Center in Quimbaya, equipped with modern fermentation technology.
Sustainability-focused — no herbicides, weeds cut manually every two months, soil health prioritized. Sebastián works with Q-graders and Q-Processing professionals to develop fermentation protocols, producing natural, honey, washed, carbonic maceration, and co-fermentation lots.
